01Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how KITIK (“KITIK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit kitik.io, use KITIK Offers, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
When a brand or other organization uses KITIK Offers to run a campaign, that organization may decide why and how participant information is processed. In that situation, we process the information on its behalf, and you should also review that organization’s privacy notice.
02Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services.
- Information you provide. This may include your name, email address, company, account credentials, communications, support requests, and information submitted when requesting or claiming an offer.
- Customer and campaign data. Customers may provide campaign settings, invitation lists, approved email domains, unique identifiers, offer data, approval decisions, and information imported through files or integrations.
- Transaction and subscription information. We may receive billing status, plan, and limited payment-related details from our payment providers. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
- Information collected automatically. We may collect device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie or similar identifiers, and diagnostic and security events.
- Information from integrations and third parties. If you connect an ecommerce platform or another service, we receive the information you authorize that service to provide. Our contact form provider may also provide the information you submit through the form.
03How we use information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
- Create accounts, authenticate users, and administer subscriptions.
- Configure campaigns, evaluate access requests, issue offers, and record campaign activity as directed by our customers.
- Respond to questions, provide support, and send service-related messages.
- Understand usage, troubleshoot problems, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the rights and safety of KITIK, our customers, and others.
- Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law. You can opt out using the unsubscribe link in a message.
04How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Customers and their authorized users. If you participate in a customer’s campaign, we provide relevant request, eligibility, approval, and offer activity to that customer.
- Service providers. We use vendors that support hosting, security, analytics, communications, contact forms, payments, customer support, and other business operations. They may process information only to perform services for us.
- Integrations. When you connect or use a third-party integration, information may pass between KITIK and that service as needed to provide the requested functionality.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, or investigate fraud, security issues, or violations of our terms.
- Business transfers. Information may be disclosed in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
- With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.
05Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, secure the Services, understand performance, and improve functionality. Browser controls can help you delete or block cookies, but parts of the Services may not work correctly without essential cookies.
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.
06Data retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, our relationship with you, and customer instructions. We may retain backups and records needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance after an account is closed.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
07Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; obtain a portable copy; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal our response. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
To submit a request, email hello@kitik.io. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If KITIK processes your information on behalf of one of our customers, we may direct your request to that customer. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
08Children
The Services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
09International use
KITIK is based in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10Third-party services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services, including ecommerce platforms and embedded forms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and this policy does not apply to information they process independently.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
